How can I invest in SpaceX?
SpaceX shares trade as SPCX on Nasdaq and Nasdaq Texas ticker SPCX, so they can be bought in a standard brokerage account. It depends whether you want those shares, a fund that holds them, or Tesla shares for exposure to Elon Musk's other work. Brighter Finance has no fund list in its source files, so none is named here. Tesla and SpaceX are separate companies. Owning one does not give you the other.

Who owns SpaceX?
SpaceX's ownership module, drawn from its public offering materials, describes founder voting control through a two-class share structure. It is not a ranked holder table like the Tesla seed.
Figures
- Elon Musk voting control: Majority voting power through Class B structure. SpaceX public offering materials state that Musk beneficially owns 849.5 million Class A shares and 5,569.1 million Class B shares, representing more than 50% of voting power. The investor read is control: public float exists, but governance remains founder-controlled.Source: SEC filingAs of Jun 12, 2026
- Class A / Class B share structure: Class A one vote; Class B ten votes. The public offering materials describe two common-stock classes: Class A shares carry one vote per share, while Class B shares carry ten votes per share and separately elect 51% of the board. This matters more than simple share count when reading SpaceX ownership.Source: SEC filingAs of Jun 12, 2026
- Employee and insider resale registration: 136.9 million shares registered for resale. A July 2026 resale registration covered 136,949,657 Class A shares held or issuable to selling stockholders. The filing also showed current employees and consultants retaining 231,323,814 Class A shares after the reoffer if all registered shares were sold, equal to 3.0% of Class A under the filing assumptions.Source: SEC filingAs of Jul 1, 2026

What does SpaceX earn its money from?
SpaceX's Q2 2026 release, as stored in the earnings module, reports results across Space, Connectivity, and AI. The AI segment is part of SpaceX, not a separate company. SpaceX reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $7.8 billion, up 92% year over year, a net loss of $541 million, and adjusted EBITDA of $3.5 billion. The release identifies SpaceX as Nasdaq: SPCX and breaks results across Space, Connectivity, and AI segments. Starlink figures from the same quarter's results file are below.
Launch services still matter
Reusable Falcon launch is the operating base for the whole company. The investor read is not just launches sold to customers, but whether reliability, cadence, and reuse keep compounding into lower access cost and faster deployment of SpaceX-owned systems.
Starlink makes SpaceX a connectivity platform
Starlink adds a service business on top of SpaceX launch capacity. Its public site sells residential and mobile internet, with global availability across more than 160 countries, territories, and other markets, turning satellites into a customer-facing network.
Starship is the option value
Starship is the part that can change the slope of the model. If fully reusable heavy lift becomes routine, it can support larger Starlink deployments, deep-space missions, and a different cost structure for what SpaceX can build and launch.
Direct to Cell expands the addressable market
Direct to Cell is the telecom-adjacent lane. Starlink's official paper says messaging service is commercially available in the United States and New Zealand and frames the objective as eliminating mobile dead zones with satellite-to-mobile technology.

What's next on SpaceX's roadmap?
The roadmap module describes the mission and the operating base. It does not list the next launch date. The latest integrated flight test in the Starship series is IFT-13 on Jul 24, 2026.
Figures
- Latest Starship flight test on file: IFT-13, flight 13Source: SpaceX Q2 2026 results / public launch recordAs of Jul 24, 2026
- Make life multiplanetaryLong-term mission. SpaceX's public mission framing is making life multiplanetary: a future where humanity explores the stars rather than remaining confined to Earth. The Mars page turns that into an operating requirement: many Starship flights, large cargo mass, and eventually a self-sufficient city on Mars.
- Reusable Falcon as the operating baseOperational foundation. Falcon 9 is SpaceX's reusable launch workhorse. SpaceX describes it as the first orbital-class reusable rocket and says reuse lets the company refly the most expensive parts of the rocket to reduce the cost of space access.
- Dragon and human spaceflightOperational capability. Dragon is the crew-and-cargo bridge in the roadmap. SpaceX says Dragon can carry up to seven passengers to and from Earth orbit and is the first private spacecraft to take humans to the space station.
- Starship as the scale stepFlight-test program. Starship is the scale change. SpaceX describes Starship and Super Heavy as a fully reusable transportation system for Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars, and beyond, with more than 100 metric tonnes to orbit in a fully reusable configuration.
- Starlink and direct-to-cell connectivityCommercial expansion. Starlink turns launch capacity into a recurring connectivity platform. Starlink's public site frames the service around reliable broadband in remote areas, while the Direct to Cell paper says SpaceX is working toward ubiquitous global connectivity by eliminating mobile dead zones.

What are the risks?
The sourced risks in these modules are founder voting control, a two-class share structure, and a resale registration that can add tradable shares. Starship is still described as a flight-test program. There is no SpaceX Prediction Room question, so Brighter Finance has no SpaceX odds to show. Brighter Finance does not say whether to buy SPCX.

What is still missing from this page?
These items are marked TODO because the source files do not include them. Nothing here is filled with an estimate. TODO: add SpaceX Prediction Room questions. prediction-questions.json and the published briefs have none for SpaceX, Starlink, or Starship. TODO: name ETF or fund tickers that hold SPCX, with a filing or fund-page source. No fund list is in the research modules. TODO: add upcoming SpaceX missions with dates. The roadmap module has no future flight date, and the latest integrated flight test on file is the last point in the Starship series.
